When we were kids it was nice to go to the garden to watch our grandparents and parents prepare and farm the land for the products that we would have found on the table depending on the season.
Tomatoes and zucchini in the summer only, cabbage and fennel only in winter... The fruits were the ones picked from the tree, maybe ugly in appearance, beaten by hail or dented by birds, but with a distinctly unique taste.
This is why, here at Grottaione, right next to the terrace, we have tried to create a small portion of that world made up by genuine products farmed with love and passion, thus creating a constant attention remembrall of the seasonality of our menu.
On demand or for events created by us, we organize cooking classes for adults and children. From land preparation and farming to product harvesting and treatment. We teach children the colours of fruits and vegetables. We introduce one-off students to the secrets of homemade pasta, bread, buns, our Peposo, sweets ... no limit to imagination!
And then, everyone at the table!
One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.
