After a walk or a bike ride at the discovery of Val d'Orcia, or simply going home from the seaside, let the view of Antica Fattoria del Grottaione enchant you at sunset.
From May until the end of September every evening from 6:00 to 8.00 p.m. it is possible to enjoy our "aperitifs with a view" on our terrace.
A good glass of wine and a few appetizers surrounded by a breathless view.
This is the homeland of Sangiovese, the basis of most red wines from Tuscany. In this part of the valley Sangiovese is called Montecucco, a great wine which has only recently been recognized; on the other side of the Orcia River, in Montalcino, it is called Brunello; a bit further on, the same grapes are used to produce Morellino di Scansano or Monteregio of Massa Marittima.
Better not forget the white wines... the white of Pitigliano, the Moscadello di Montalcino, the Vernaccia of San Gimignano, the Ansonica from the Argentario Coast...
But not only Tuscany, our cellar offers the opportunity to travel throughout Italy and beyond. From the Sicilian Grillo to the South Tyrolean Gewurztraminer, from the Puglian Primitivo di Manduria to the Piedmontese Barolo, from the sparkling wine of Langhe region to the French Champagne. Thousands of combinations for all tastes, a small part of the world of quality wines
